Girls volleyball: Madi Creaden sets up Trinity for first GCAC Red win

RIVER FOREST — After a disappointing loss to OPRF on Friday night 25-17, 25-22, the Trinity volleyball team rallied to defeat Loyola on Tuesday 25-15, 25-22.
This big win marked the first GCAC Red matchup for the Blazers who improved to 2-1 overall.
Junior setter Madi Creaden led the Blazers with 15 assists, 14 digs, 3 kills and 4 blocks. Also making big contributions were senior hitters Mikayla Leyden (6 kills, 14 digs), Shannon McGinnins (5 kills, 5 digs, 6 blocks), Ashley Klauss (13 digs, 5 kills, ace) and Maggie O’Connor (3 kills, 7 digs, 4 assists, ace), and Jacque Kibir-Evans (3 kills, 2 blocks, ace).
Sophomore Libero Kameron Rouse made a strong showing in the backcourt on defense with 18 digs.
