Great Decisions starts Feb. 9 at Oak Park Public Library

Oak Park Public Library will again cosponsor Great Decisions 2012, an exciting discussion series of international issues.

A total of eight issues will be explored. Each issue will be discussed twice. Attend all eight issues in the series or come to individual issues of interest. Briefing books will be available for purchase.

The series is cosponsored by the League of Women Voters of Oak Park and River Forest.

The schedule is as follows:

“Middle East Realignment,” 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Maze Branch Library, 845 Gunderson Ave., and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the main library, 834 Lake St.

“Promoting Democracy,” 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Maze Branch and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at main library.

“Mexico,” 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Maze Branch and 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at main library.

“Cybersecurity,” 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at Maze Branch and 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, main library.

“ Exit from Afghanistan and Iraq, 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at main library and 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Maze Branch

“Status of the Oceans,” 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at main library and 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Maze Branch.

“Indonesia,” 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at main branch and 1 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Maze Branch.

“Energy Geopolitics,” 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at main library and 1 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Maze Branch.
