West Suburban welcomes new nurse executive

Roslyn “Roz” Lennon, R.N., M.S.N., has been appointed Chief Nursing Officer at Vanguard West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park. In her role, Lennon will serve as an advocate for safety, superior medical care and service excellence.
She comes to West Suburban most recently from Cook County Health and Hospitals System, where she served as the Chief Clinical Officer.
Lennon is a senior level health care executive with experience in executing service excellence initiatives, leading operations improvements, building a magnet culture and establishing innovative nursing school affiliations.
“I am pleased to have Roz joining the Vanguard West Suburban team and trust that her knowledge and experience will help lead our talented health care team in providing evidenced-based, patient-centered care,” said Jack Cleary, Chief Executive Officer. “Roz is a superb addition to the Senior Leadership Team.”
She earned her bachelor of science in nursing and master of science in nursing administration from the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago.
She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Rush University College of Nursing and sits on the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council’s Clinical Advisory Board. In addition, Lennon is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
