Oak Park Township youth/senior services seek committee members

Oak Park — Oak Park Township Youth Services is seeking volunteers to serve on its Youth Services Committee. The nine-member advisory group meets the first Wednesday of every month. Four full-term (three years) positions are available.
The agency supports programs and services that try to prevent juvenile delinquency. This division of township government also advocates for programs and services which enhance the social and emotional development of youth and their families.
The committee advises the township on the funding of many local agencies that provide needed programs and services to the local youth population.
Interested residents should have experience and interest in issues related to the youth population and have time to serve. Applications are available at Oak Park Township, 105 S. Oak Park Ave., or can be received by mail: call (708) 383-8005. The application form is also available on the website at oakparktownship.org.
Application deadline is Wednesday, April 10.
Applicants will be interviewed the week of April 15-18.
Seeking Seniors Services volunteers
Oak Park Township is accepting applications for vacancies on its Senior Services Committee that reviews services and prepares recommendations on programs and funding issues for senior services in our community. Qualified candidates must be residents of Oak Park, and have an interest in issues affecting Oak Park’s older population. Applications can be picked up at Oak Park Township, 105 S. Deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 10.
Candidates will be interviewed starting April 15.
