RIVER FOREST — To raise awareness for justice issues during Lent, Trinity’s Campus Ministry and the Micah club will sponsor two events Wednesday, March 20, at Trinity High School, 7574 W. Division St.

The first is a Hunger Banquet for students during their lunch period. The Hunger Banquet is a time for reflection on food scarcity and hunger.

Students and faculty choosing to participate will be randomly assigned to one of three groups to eat their meal. The largest group will sit on the floor and eat a bowl of rice in solidarity with the majority of the world’s population. The second group will sit in chairs and be served rice and beans, while the third group — the smallest one — will be seated at a table with a feast of pizza and milkshakes.

The second event is a Homeless Awareness Prayer and Reflection outside from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a speaker from West Suburban PADS talking to students about homelessness.
