OAK PARK — The Oak Park Village Board on Monday night announced it has selected current interim village manager Cara Pavlicek as its new village manager.
Pavlicek was deemed the strongest candidate among six finalists interviewed in December, said Village President David Pope.
In making the announcement at Monday night’s board meeting, Pope praised Pavlicek’s “tremendous wealth of capabilty that will allow her not just to suceed but excel” and he thanked her for her service to the village over the past 11 months.
Pavlicek has served since March 1 as interim village manager, replacing Tom Barwin, who resigned in February. Her employement contract is the sole agenda item of a special board meeting Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. at Village Hall.
