Oak Park police respond to alleged armed robbery, DUI crash

OAK PARK — Two Chicago men were arrested Dec. 15 for allegedly stealing an Oak Park girl’s jacket at gunpoint, police reported.

According to Oak Park police, Andre D. Mabrey, 20, of the 7200 block of South Shore, Chicago; and Narai J. Spencer, 32, of the 200 block of North Central Avenue, Chicago, were stopped by Chicago officers on the 5300 block of Madison at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 15 following a radio dispatch of the reported robbery on the 100 block of Madison in Oak Park.

Mabrey was later identified by the victim as the man who displayed a handgun and took her jacket, police said. He also was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of ammunition and possession of a weapon without a FOID card. He was held on a Chicago warrant for drug possession.

Spencer, who sports Chicago gang tattoos according to Illinois prison officials, was paroled from a drug conviction last April. He is being held in lieu of on $125,000 bond on a warrant for manufacture and delivery of marijuana.

DUI

Victor H. Cisneros, 26, of the 2100 block of Merrimac, Chicago, was arrested at 3:53 a.m. Dec. 15 on the 7100 block of North Avenue and charged with DUI. He also was ticketed for driving without proof of insurance.

Responding police said they found tire marks on the street, curb, sidewalk, border plants and into two protective poles, as well as damage to two store fronts in the area.

Police said they also arrived to Cisneros’ Grand Am upside down inside one of the stores. Cisneros was bleeding and covered in glass and debris, police said.

He was charged with DUI after reportedly blowing a .168 blood alcohol content on a Breathalyzer test.
