Oak Park police blotter for Nov. 16

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Oak Park Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BATTERY
Amen L. Brown, 18, of the 600 block of South Maple Avenue was arrested at Oak Park River-Forest High School at 3:18 p.m. Nov. 15 and charged with battery, after he allegedly punched another OPRF student during an altercation in a school hallway.
Kathy A. Hood, 55, of the 300 block of South Iowa Avenue in Addison, was arrested at 5:13 p.m. Nov. 13 and charged with battery. The charges were related to the investigation of an alleged altercation that took place in August.
Tarrance L. Brooks, 22, of the 900 block of North Humphrey Avenue was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Nov. 12 at his residence and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property.
Shantavia N. McKenzie, 23, of the 5500 block of West Parker, Chicago was arrested at the Oak Park police station at 2:10 p.m. Nov. 11 and charged with domestic battery, allegedly scratching someone during an altercation on the 700 block of North Austin Boulevard.
Ondrea M. King, 46, of the 1600 block of South Millard, Chicago was arrested on the 100 block of Madison Street at 6:05 p.m. Nov. 9 and charged with battery after she and another person entered a business there, tossed $200 cash on the floor and then allegedly pushed and punched someone.
THEFT
Latrina Scott, 40, of the 800 block of North Ridgeway, Chicago was arrested at a business on the 6400 block of West North Avenue at 6:51 p.m. Nov. 9, and charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole socks and assorted toiletries. She was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Terry Brady, 18, of the 4200 block of West Potomac, Chicago was arrested at Jewel, 438 Madison St., at 5:49 p.m. Nov. 13 and charged with attempted retail theft. He allegedly tried to steal several bottles of liquor valued at $51. He was also charged with retail theft in an earlier incident, and ordered held in lieu of $2,500 bond.
DRUGS
Nathan T. Kopecky, 21, of the first block of W. 132 Robin Lane, West Chicago, and Evan Los, 19, of the 500 block of Hevern Drive, Wheaton were arrested on the 900 block of South Humphrey at 9:31 p.m. Nov. 14 and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Police say officers observed hypodermic syringes, and a search turned up two syringes loaded with brown liquid, and four small plastic bags containing a total of 1.8 grams of suspected heroin. Both men were ordered held in lieu of $15,000 bond.
Jonah A. Shlaes, 18, of the 400 block of North Scoville Avenue and Alec E. Martin, 19, of the 800 block of North Cuyler Avenue were arrested in an alley on the 100 block of South Lombard Avenue at 2:27 p.m. Nov. 11 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police allegedly found them in possession of a small amount of marijuana and two glass pipes.
HARBORING
Jonathan J. Maldonado, 25, of the 1800 block of North Sayre, Chicago was arrested on the 200 block of North Euclid Avenue and charged with harboring a runaway after police reportedly saw a 17-year old girl enter his car after getting off a school bus.
ORDER VIOLATION
William L. Ferdinand, 49, of the 600 block of North LaSalle, Chicago was arrested on the 600 block of Lake Street at 9:58 p.m. Nov. 10 and charged with violation of an order of protection. He was allegedly found in the proximity of a female juvenile family member, in violation of a court order of protection.
