Oak Park police blotter for Nov. 12

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Oak Park Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

BATTERY

A 16-year old Oak Park boy was arrested on the 900 block of North Boulevard at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 8 and charged with aggravated battery. The arrest followed a reported fight with another 16-year old boy. The boy was processed and turned over to his guardian.

Kabrina Mitchell-Hall, 20, of the first block of Chicago Avenue was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 1:26 a.m. Nov. 7, after she allegedly struck a family member. The victim reportedly suffered no serious injury.

THEFT

An Oak Park boy was arrested at Percy Julian Middle School at 8:05 a.m. Nov. 8 and charged with the theft, allegedly taking $25 from a locker. The boy was turned over to a parent.

WEAPON

Paul J. Bertolini, 40, of the 1500 block of Columbia, Elk Grove Village, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 6. The arrest came following a traffic stop by officers investigating a leaving the scene of a property damage traffic accident. A handgun was allegedly recovered from Bertolini’s vehicle during the stop.

TRESPASS

A 15-year old boy was arrested at the Oak Park Public Library at 5:09 p.m. Nov. 6, and charged with criminal trespass. The boy allegedly returned to the building after being banned from the premises. He was turned over to a parent.

ALCOHOL

Avion King, 24, of the 1600 block of North Lockwood, Chicago, was stopped by police on the 5800 block of North Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Nov. 6, for an alleged traffic violation. He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving with no valid license and having no insurance. He was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bond and has a Nov. 30 court date.
