Oak Park police blotter for Nov. 5

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Oak Park Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

ROBBERY

Kavin Mitchell, 20, of the 1500 block of South Sawyer Avenue, Chicago and a Chicago boy were arrested on the 1100 block of Lake Street at 2:11 a.m. Oct. 29 and charged with robbery. The two and a third person allegedly took an iPod from a Chicago man. Mitchell was issued a Nov. 2 court date and the juvenile was turned over to a parent.

BATTERY

Dirk A. Beadleston, 53, of the 500 block of South Elmwood Avenue was arrested at Oak Park Hospital at 6:51 p.m. Oct. 30 and charged with aggravated battery after he allegedly grabbed a nurse’s thumb and bent it backwards.

ASSAULT

Antoine Allen, 52, of the 200 block of South Marion Street, Oak Park was arrested at his residence at 9:11 p.m. Nov. 1 and charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly threatened a man while holding a knife.

WEAPON

Reginald A. Paisley, 55, of the 500 block of Washington Boulevard, Oak Park was arrested at his home at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 4, and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a fire arm without a FOID card. He allegedly brandished a handgun during an argument.

BURGLARY

Thomas Wilson Jr., 17, of the 100 block of North Hermitage, Chicago was arrested on the 1100 block of South Oak Park Avenue at 9:04 p.m. Oct. 31 and charged with burglary. He was reportedly found in possession of jewelry taken from a woman’s car. He was ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Devon Lawry, 19, of the 4700 block of West Monroe, Chicago, was arrested while in the custody of Forest Park police at 11:16 a.m. Oct. 26. He was charged with burglary in relation to a Sept. 26 incident at an Oak Park business on the first block of Madison Street.

THEFT

Brian S. Arkrynne, 55, of the 500 block of South Elmwood Avenue, Oak Park was arrested at Dominick’s, 215 Lake St., at 7:21 p.m. Oct. 27, and charged with retail theft.

Clifford Perkins, 51, of the 100 block of North Mayfield, Chicago was arrested on the 5900 block of West Madison Street, Chicago at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 and charged with retail theft in connection with an incident at CVS Pharmacy, 345 Madison. Perkins was also charged with retail theft and battery in connection with an Oct. 23 incident at the same store.

Brian K. Dobynes, 43, of the 1300 block of North Parkside, Chicago was arrested on the 300 block of South Ridgeland Avenue at 11:51 a.m. Nov. 3 and charged with theft. He was allegedly found in possession of a delivery package containing two pair of shoes taken from a front porch on the 200 block of South Scoville.

TRESPASS

Francois A. Garand, 38, of the 300 block of North Grove Avenue, Oak Park was arrested on the 200 block of North Scoville Avenue at 7:45 a.m. Nov. 1, and charged with criminal trespass to property after allegedly entering a garage. He told police he was trying “to avoid his ex-girl friend who was waiting for him at his home.”
