Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour when you go to bed Saturday night, as Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m., Sunday, March 10. You also should consider using the time change as a reminder to replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Free condo board
training March 12
Condominium board members who want to learn more about how to meet their responsibilities are invited to free one-hour training seminars sponsored by Association of Condominium, Townhouse and Homeowners Associations. The first session, which will focus on how to conduct a one-hour board meeting, is Tuesday, March 12. Other sessions are scheduled for April 9 (developing and enforcing rules and regulations, including smoke-free housing); May 14 (hiring a management company); and June 11 (collections and foreclosures). Building code
changes March 13
The second of two public meetings to provide details on proposed changes to building and property codes is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Village Hall, 123 Madison St. Property owners and managers, contractors, design professionals and the general public are invited to meet with representatives from the Building & Property Standards Department, Fire Department and Business Services Division, who will outline the proposed changes and answer questions.
