Oak Park Runners Club meeting Feb. 5
The first 2013 meeting of the Oak Park Runners Club will be held at 7 p.m.Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the main branch of the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St. It’s free and the public is welcome.
Watching the 2012 Summer Olympics you saw many feats of athletic prowess and several records fall. But did you know that there’s a runner who can top even Michael Phelps? Come to the meeting to hear Paul Oppenheim tell the story of Emil Zatopek, the legendary Czech runner and Olympic champion.
