OAK PARK — The Oak Park Women’s Guild will host two guest speakers at the 19th Century Charitable Association clubhouse Oct. 24.
The first is Jill Salzman, who will discuss ways to harness your skills to prepare you for your desired future. Then Patty Henek will discuss what her organization, “Holiday Food and Gift Baskets,” does and how to get involved in helping a family in need during the holidays.
The discussion takes place from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 178 Forest Ave., in Oak Park.
From 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, the Oak Park Women’s Guild will hold its annual fundraiser, “Bringing Back Vegas,” at the Carleton of Oak Park Hotel, 1110 Pleasant St., in Oak Park. Cost is $75 per person, which includes $500 in funny money, appetizers, drinks and desserts. Try your luck at drawings, split the pot and a silent auction.
Women’s Guild meetings are held every other Wednesday at the 19th Century Club. Childcare is available.
