Pet of the Week for Oct. 18
Huck
Updated: October 22, 2012 8:38PM
Name: Huck
Species: Canine
Breed: Terrier, pit bull/mix
Age: Puppy
Gender: Male
Color: Brown/white
Huck is the cutest puppy you have ever seen. His mostly white body is offset by a perfectly round brown spot around one eye. Huck is a pit bull pup that came to the Animal Care League as a stray, so they know nothing about his background. He seems to like other dogs and likes human attention, but ACL believes he would do best in a home with older children or adults only. It would also be great if he found a home with people who have experience with the bully breed personality. Like all puppies, he needs to learn the basics of good house manners and potty skills. If you are up to the many challenges of raising a pup, you might want to consider Huck. A $100 training fee is required in addition to his adoption fee. This charge will cover four Puppy Kindergarten classes at the ACL.
To adopt a featured pet or to learn more call the Animal Care League at (708) 848-8155, visit the shelter at 1011 Garfield St., Oak Park, or email animalcare@ameritech.net. Available online at animalcareleague.org.
People who love their pets get ID tags for them. It’s the right thing to do and it’s a village law. If you lose a pet or find someone else’s, call Pioneer Press at (847) 998-3400 to put a free, lost or found, ad in classifieds.~.
