Name: Shelly

Species: Feline

Breed: Domestic Shorthair/Mix

Color: Chestnut, Black and Tan

Gender: Female

Age: 4 years, 5 months

Shelly was transferred to the Animal Care League from another shelter. This sweet gal has a very subdued personality and isn’t as outgoing as many of her suite-mates. Shelly is affectionate and has a lot of love to give. She is friendly, but has a very soft-spoken way about her. She needs someone that will be tender, give her love and make her feel safe. Shelly is recommended for a quieter household with children ages 8 and up. Shelly does not do well with other kitties, so she must be your one and only.

To adopt a featured pet or to learn more call the Animal Care League at (708) 848-8155, visit the shelter at 1011 Garfield St., Oak Park, or email animalcare@ameritech.net. Available online at www.animalcareleague.org.

People who love their pets get ID tags for them. It’s the right thing to do and it’s a village law. If you lose a pet or find someone else’s, call Pioneer Press at (847) 998-3400 to put a free, lost or found, ad in classifieds.
