Holding auditions for an adaptation of the classic children’s novel “The Secret Garden” at 3 p.m. Feb. 10 and 7 p.m. Feb. 11-12 in Asbury Hall at First United Methodist Church, 232 S. York, Elmhurst. Auditions will consist of cold readings of the script. Characters in this adaptation will be speaking in the standard British dialect or with a Yorkshire dialect. Concerto competition

The Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest’s eighth annual Concerto Competition takes place March 16, and is open to all instrumental musicians who have not completed their high school senior year as of the time of the competition and whose primary residence is within 10 miles of Oak Park.
