Fluffy friends will have a special time at the Stuffed Animal Sleepover, 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at River Forest Public Library, 735 Lathrop Ave. Kids can bring their favorite toy to the library, listen to a bedtime story and then leave their play pet for the night.

“It is fun to be in the library after hours,” said Susan Quinn, head of Children’s Services. “It will be perfectly acceptable for the animals to get a little louder in the library at night because they will be the only ones there besides our staff and the Teen Volunteer Team.”

They will be kept busy hearing bedtime stories, playing dress-up, having a dance party and playing games.

“When the children come back on Saturday Morning to pick up their stuffed friends,” Quinn said, “they will see a slide show of all the fun things that their animal did while spending the night at the library.”

Registration is required.
