Oak Park information technology firm acquires River Forest rival

Azure Horizons Inc., in Oak Park, has announced the acquisition of Abacus Technical Solutions, in River Forest, enabling the two information technology companies to better serve their customers and community.
Chris Demeur, owner of Abacus Technical Solutions, said the firms had been “working together as friendly competitors for years” and eventually realized “we could do a much better job for our clients if we teamed up. When you have a couple people brainstorming solutions as opposed to just one, you will more often get a better thought out solution.”
The move also should allow the company to grow faster. It has already included new hires in its business plan.
Azure Horizons also does a lot of work with not-for-profits in the area and has been recycling donated computers for them
