Biz Notes: Hagerty named to First Bank & Trust board of directors

• First Bank & Trust and its holding company, First Evanston Bancorp, Inc., announced the election of Stephen H. Hagerty to the board of directors to serve a three-year term, effective Sept. 1, 2014.

• Burr Ridge Veterinary Clinic co-owners Brian D. Rooney, DVM and Jeffrey D. Palmer, DVM recently welcomed two new veterinarians to the practice. Dr. Karen E. Angele, a graduate of the University of Illinois, has practiced veterinary medicine for more than 20 years in the Chicago metropolitan area. Dr. Kathryn McFadden Sexton, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, has also practiced as a veterinarian in Chicago and its suburbs since 2009.

• Hinsdale,Ill.-based Foxford Communities has announced the grand opening of Wimbledon Estates, an exclusive community of seven custom-built homes on one-acre lots in Lake Bluff. Construction has already begun on a 5,000-square-foot French Provincial-style home set for completion by November of this year. Located off of Green Bay Road, just over a mile from downtown Lake Bluff, Wimbledon Estates is nestled in a quaint cul-de-sac surrounded by mature trees.
