Sheena Watts, 25, an employee at an Oak Park 7-Eleven, was arrested Tuesday after her boss told police she was stealing lottery tickets from the store.

According to police, Watts, of the 700 block of West Forest Avenue in West Chicago, was arrested while working at the 240 Chicago Ave. store around 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and charged with retail theft.

The store’s owner claimed that an in-store surveillance camera had recorded Watts removing 60 Illinois Lottery scratch-off tickets from behind the counter. The owner also claimed he was aware of two previous incidents in which Watts stole scratch tickets from the store.

Watts was processed and released on bond. She is scheduled to appear at the Cook County Circuit Court in Maywood, Room 106, on Oct. 20.
