Letter to the editor: Who needs speed bumps in Oak Park when we’ve got potholes?

I totally agree with “Paul Sassone: Speed bumps no answer to speeding” article that the $8,000 speed bumps should be prohibited.

I’d like to offer another alternative for those blocks of residents that really do want traffic to slow down — potholes. Potholes are free, and actually save taxpayer money. If the majority of residents on a street want to slow down traffic, the village stops street repairs and resurfacing.

Why pay for something that we can get for free?
