The Oak Park Micro Brew Review will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16. Here’s a bit of information from Seven Generations Ahead:

Join us in downtown Oak Park on August 16, 2014 for the largest zero-waste craft beer event in the Midwest! In its 7th year, the Oak Park Micro Brew Review brings together 4,500 craft beer enthusiasts from across the Chicago area, Midwest and beyond to enjoy all Oak Park has to offer while sampling over 180 unique brews from 60 breweries and delicious food on a beautiful mid-summer’s afternoon.

Produced by Seven Generations Ahead (SGA) and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild (ICBG), the event showcases the best craft beers our Illinois brewers have to offer, select beers from Midwest and national craft breweries, live music and small plates incorporating local food from Oak Park area restaurants. This is one of the Midwest’s top craft beer festivals of the summer, and it supports the non-profit sustainability work of SGA and the craft beer advocacy work of the ICBG.

With nothing from the event going to landfill, the Oak Park Micro Brew Review combines the best of pleasurable craft beer drinking with doing a good thing for the planet!
