OAK PARK — The District 200 School Board has announced it has signed Superintendent Steven Isoye to a five-year contract extension.
In a statement on the extension, District 200 said Isoye’s new contract will run through June 30, 2018. His agreement was set to expire June 30 of next year.
“I am very pleased,” Isoye said. “I am excited to continue working with the district and the Board of Education.”
Isoye will not get a salary increase this year, with his salary frozen at $208,000.
“I think it is appropriate,” Isoye said of the salary freeze for this year. “It is a good thing for the district.”
Isoye must meet five specific goals as part of the extension, the district said. One is recommending how to eliminate barriers to success for minority students and staff, another developing and implementing a coming strategic plan.
Another is finding a way to preserve fund balances while maintaining programs and facilities.
Isoye was principal at Maine East High School in Park Ridge before joining District 200 and was named 2010-2011 Illinois High School Principal of the Year by the Horace Mann/Illinois Principals Association.
